Welcome to 2021 from PopCultureTraveler – 1 January 2021 – COVID-19 isn’t quite over and the world as we know it has changed forever

It is safe to say that 2020 was not the year that many were expecting. You can forgive yourself if you didn’t quite meet your 2020 New Year’s Resolution. Being at home and having to cancel big events were on the cards when the pandemic had full swing in mid-March.

At the moment, 2021 is likely going to be a continuation of 2020 until a viable vaccine is rolled out to most of the world’s populations. In the West, the Pfizer/Bio-Tech and Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine have been approved for use. However, neither vaccines have been given the go ahead in Australia. The Australian Federal Government plans to see how the vaccine rollout goes around the world before rolling out the first jabs in March 2021.

I think the world as we know has changed. Everyone has been affected by the pandemic and the world we knew pre-COVID-19 is gone forever. Things will change. Things will be done differently. Hopefully things will get better so that we don’t have another event like this again.

So, wherever you are in the world, my best wishes go out to you and I hope 2021 is the year that turns it around for you. Thanks again for supporting me and this website. You visiting the website means so much to me.

I would appreciate it if you could share your thoughts about what type of articles you would like to see on this website. I aim to have an article up every three days and still have lots of material to share and write about, for example I have been to DisneySea in Tokyo, Pattaya City near Bangkok and visited the Raffles Hotel in Singapore. If there are other topics you want, feel free to suggest them in the comments section.
